ok,
firts turn off coolbook active at coolbook controller. dont remove it we need this app to see frequecy speedstep
to test speedstep kext just install speedstep kext, you don't need to copy it to /System/Library/Extension
then setup kext speedtep with command
sudo -s
chown -R root:wheel GenericCPUPowerManagement.kext
chmod -R 755 GenericCPUPowerManagement.kext
kextload GenericCPUPowerManagement.kext
then run program from superhai genericcpupmcontrol.app for autothrottle
at coolbook app you will see the frequecy work

Ciao Favlex, I've it too, I've the 1.0.12 Kernel extension, and it recognize the name of the CPU, but I can't change the frequency, I think our CPU isn't yet supported, because shown frequency (>3000Mhz) is a little bit out of control :D.
Altough Speedstep works correctly, it lower the frequency when idle, even if shown frequency is incorrect. I don't know if shown voltage is equal to the real CPU voltage:
According to wikipedia article CPU voltage may be 0.75V - 1.1 V, the software can go from a minimum of 0.9V to 1.162V.
I'm using it for now, but I'm waiting for next versions, it's a good driver/software!

just answered there.
Changed with 133 166 but no way.

for changing at boot --> F8 then > fsb=xxx (133,166,200)

i know, but with voodoo kernel changed "fsb=133000000 busratio=12" ...still no luck..

its ok. i`m sorry too, for my bad language
first download n install the latest superhai genericcpupowermanagement.kext, after that go to http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=108606 there is applesmbios.kext (vanilla) and applesmbiosefi.kext, download and two of them with kexthelper. when the ready install. reboot and add boot flag "FSB=133 memoryType=19 memorySpeed =667." until now speedstep can run.

Sweet, finally works.

FYI, if you've installed kamikaze's latest MSI Wind drivers pack you shouldn't need to switch AppleSMBIOS and AppleSMBIOSEFI. Just make sure you specify the bootflags (FSB=133 memoryType=19 memorySpeed=677). Note! FSB seems to be case-sensitive, when I did it lowercase I had the old behaviour, when I do it uppercase it's corrected *shrug*.

Talking about Coolbook, I had uninstalled it in order to update to 10.5.5, and then I forgot to reinstall it. I realised that I got the same battery life! So I don't see the point in using it frankly.

I dont' remember if I got installed the whole last kamikaze's drivers , but I followed you suggestion and now the genericCPUManagment shows the right frequency.
In case I replace smbios and add smiosEFi , I could get more stable running...
Again , anyone started to modify the kext .plist to get undervolting ??

Now I go to stressed it 8-)

..Then

If I switch the OC on with the kext loaded on running ,the system crash !!
If I start with the usual flag (fsb, memorytype and speed..) , the system overclocked (24%) as soon as I load the GenericCPUPowerManagement the system freezes..
That's only me ? :?:
